Chatty Charlie 2

“Mommy, watch this!!!” is the toddler equivalent of “Hold my beer.” It usually means something stupid and dangerous is about to take place.
Toddlers are hilarious!  I’m trying to write down some of the funny/cute things C says because I forget them all too quickly.
Charlie (to Brandon): Daddy, I tooted!
Brandon: What do you say?
Charlie (turns around to me): Mommy I tooted LOUD!

(all the time): Mommy, I hold you. (translates to: Pick me up, please!)

We were at a restaurant on Friday night and I was walking back from the bathroom.  Charlie claps and loudly exclaims: Great job Mommy!!!

We were at the doctor’s office for a baby check-up and Charlie’s shoe came off (?- don’t ask)
Charlie: Oh NO! My left shoe!
(He does not actually know his left from his right, but he did happen to get it correct. The other lady in the waiting room just turned and stared at us.)

Golfer on a Fisher-Price Harley. Look out now.
Hanging with uncle Bri.

September insta-style

Playdoh and paint outside- it won't last long but I'm thankful while it does First day of preschool!!
Road trip! We've probably talked more in the last 6 hrs than in the whole last week- we needed this. And also, I really like him. A beautiful wedding- so happy for @alex_galea and Rachel!
@alex_galea @tararial #PicFrame
A trip down Loyola memory lane. Charm city, I miss you. #latergram Hiding in the curtains, watching the neighbors. That's not creepy, right?
The view from here: I can still see my feet, barely. #28weeks Sending out some very happy mail today.
Constantly chewing his hands, drool everywhere, and a cold... Poor baby. Teething two year olds are no fun. Gorgeous fall days and plenty of space for running #ballfield
Apparently he needed to get a little closer to the train action this morning. Early morning snuggles with this guy. And later this morning- a much needed haircut!
The best kind of day for the playground. Oh my- I said Charlie smile for me and this happened. It just got infinitely harder to take a photo...
Happy birthday Mo! Charlie is in his crib singing "Happy birthday" at 9:30 pm- too much cake perhaps? @kamccart0927 @jennifermccarthy0830

September marked the start of preschool, a road trip to Baltimore for a gorgeous wedding (and a happy reunion!), Berger cookies, several yucky days of sickness for C, and a little birthday celebration for Aunt Mo.  Sorry if you’ve already seen all of these photos and don’t care- but Brandon doesn’t log on to instagram so this is the only way he sees them!

i miss summer

Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually really excited by the cooler weather.  And the pumpkin spice lattes.  But when it was still crazy hot (last week) Charlie kept asking to go to the pool, and I get it.  Summer comes with built-in entertainment: the pool, outside riding bikes (watching all of the crazy neighbor kids)… I think C would gladly trade the pumpkins for some more summer!

Is he not the cutest?

Love those guys

Now I feel like I should go back and re-title this “the many faces of C” or something. He’s such a ham!

embrace the camera

I loosely followed along with Under the Sycamore and The Anderson Crew on their “embrace the camera” challenge this week.  Basically its about getting into pictures with your kids, so that years from now when they are looking back on photographs of their childhood they don’t just have cute pictures of themselves (there will be plenty of those too) but they also have memories of family life.  I failed at getting Brandon in front of the camera this week, but maybe that will be my mission for this weekend!  Here’s some that Charlie, baby B and I took this week 🙂

A day late but I'm doing the #embracethecamera challenge this week! #smiles

Playground shenanigans.

Don't want to forget that this little one was playing matchbox cars before he or she was born. #embracethecamera
A random everyday occurance around here: Charlie running Matchbox cars/trucks over anything that will hold still- the train table, the couch, mommy’s belly… When this little one comes out making car noises, we will know why!
