This picture of her makes me smile so big. She’s such a happy girl!
This guy, on the other hand, has been a bit of a grump. He misses his daddy. And he never wants to go to school, and he’s mean to his sister, and I could go on, but I’ll stop there to protect the not-so-innocent.
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.jsFall has been full of soccer (and raisins).
And even the occasional family foursome outing.
We love fall!
If something happened to our house, and I could only save one item- I would grab Sammy’s “lovey”. She adores it, and has the automatic reaction when she gets her hands on it- she puts it up to her face and puts her thumb in her mouth and its like her cue for sleep. Magic. But we only have one lovey, and he’s
falling apart showing signs of being well-loved. Charlie and I thought this pink one below looked like a good contender for replacement lovey.
Well it turns out there is no replacement for real lovey. I’m keeping the others as back-ups, but she just played with them. When it was really time to take a nap, only the original would do 🙂
Charlie started back to preschool today! And apparently that has inspired me to blog again!
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.jsThat Paw Patrol backpack is his favorite thing. I’m pretty sure the only reason we didn’t have any tears about going to school this morning was because he wanted to show off that backpack. #wortheverypenny
Two little goofs 🙂
My favorite fireman and his dalmatian:
Who could resist this face??
Or this one?
He was pretty excited about trick-or-treating this year. And even more excited about passing out candy when we got home from our little jaunt around the neighborhood– very cute.
Mimi and her favorite pup.
We’ve been married for five years.
Man, that went quick!
From our honeymoon in San Francisco, CA.
From our one year anniversary- Washington, DC.
You can make me laugh, even when 8 months pregnant in the July heat. That’s something.
Our two year anniversary- cuddling with a one month old babe.
Anna Maria Island, FL
Four year anniversary- Baltimore, MD
Random recent date night in Chapel Hill.
One more from our wedding. Because it was a really great wedding 🙂
I can’t believe how much our lives have changed in the past five years. I wouldn’t change a minute!
B- love you so much, thank you for our life together, the adventures we’ve had and the ones we look forward to, but most of all thank for these two beautiful babies. I cherish our little family! xoxo
THREE. It feels like it deserves all capital letters. Three years old sounds way too grown-up for my little guy! But here we are. We didn’t have any big party but we spent
Sunday the last week eating cupcakes and opening up every Planes toys under the sun; I sure hope we made Charlie feel loved and celebrated. That’s all that really matters.
We had cupcakes at the beach one night last week to celebrate Meredith’s 6th birthday (which was in June) and Charlie’s 3rd. Then on his actual birthday (Sunday) we had the family over for some fun and food. And presents, of course.
Lots of Planes gifts and we went and saw the Planes Fire and Rescue movie. He is Planes obsessed! But he also got a new stacking train track set, a remote control car, a cute tent, clothes and this scooter. The scooter took a little while to get the hang of it, but I think he will like it.
Or Sammy will claim it as her own.
And more shots of him eating icing. I don’t think he even touches the cupcake.
So that was our low-key celebration for one very special THREE year old boy. And this means the end of the terrible twos. Right?! Just kidding, he woke up yesterday and had a complete meltdown about the cup his milk was in, sooo apparently three isn’t a magical cure for the tantrums 🙂
Happy birthday sweet Charlie! We love you so much!!!
The preschool Charlie went to this year did a pretty cute “promotion ceremony” for all of the kids. First there was a little thing in his preschool classroom where we got a book of a bunch of different projects they had completed throughout the year:
Then there was a ceremony in the gym (with lots of singing!). C was fascinated by the girl next to him. Afterwards we tried our luck with some group pictures but didn’t have much luck. Apparently C was sulking. He didn’t want to preschool to end (and neither did I!) He is moving to a different school, much closer to our house, next fall. We’re all a little sad about that because JPP was so good to us!
And just for fun a little first day of school/last day of school picture comparison. He’s changed a lot! Bring on summer!!!
